TERMS AND CONDITIONS - My Design Rules Lead Gen Competition
The promoter of the Competition is Buco, a division of The Building Company (Pty) Ltd ("the Promoter").
The name of the Competition is BUCO My Design Rules Social Media UGC Competition (“the Competition”).
The Competition will run from 17 November to 25 November 2025, both days included ("the Competition Period"). The winner for the Grand Prize will be announced on 28 November 2025. Winners must be available to travel to Cape Town between 11 – 14 December 2025 to be eligible for the Grand Prize.
By entering the Competition and/or accepting any prize (if you are a winner), you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
By The competition prizes ("the Prizes") to be won are:
Grand Prize: One Grand Prize is available to be won, consisting of a weekend away for 2 to witness and be a part of the season finale and winner announcement, as well as a BUCO voucher to the value of R20,000.
The Competition is open to all participants within South Africa that are South African citizens (in possession of a valid South African ID) and South African residents (in possession of a valid South African permanent residency permit). You are not eligible to participate in this Competition if:
You are a director, member, partner, employee, agent or its affiliates/divisions/subsidiaries or any other person who supplies goods or services in connection with the Competition.
You are a spouse, life partner, parent, child or sibling, immediate family member, business partner or associate of the persons specified above.
The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any user who enters using false information by entry forms or like means.
The main prize in this Competition is not transferable or exchangeable for cash.
There will only be 1 (one) winner for the prize.
Winners must collect the prizes in person and present their valid original South African ID or permanent residency permit. No copies will be accepted.
The draw for the winner will take place on 28 November 2025. The winner will be chosen randomly from all the valid entries.
Winners will be contacted by the Store Manager within 48 (forty-eight) hours of the draw.
An alternative winner will be drawn 48 (forty-eight) hours from the date of announcing the original winner if that winner is not able to be contacted using the details provided.
BUCO and their delivery agent do not accept responsibility or liability for any loss or damage and will also not be responsible or liable for any further expenses or fees required for the purpose of using, applying or enjoying the prize won in this Competition.
Winners give BUCO and its authorised agents consent to use their names for publicity purposes, unless consent is explicitly withheld.

BUCO reserves the right to vary, suspend, postpone or terminate the competition and any prizes, or any aspect thereof, for any reasons whatsoever and without notice. In such event, you hereby waive any rights or expectations which you may have against and acknowledge that you will not have any recourse or claim of any nature against BUCO.
Your privacy is very important to BUCO and it will use reasonable efforts to ensure that any information, including personal information, provided by you, or which is collected from you, is stored in a secure manner.
You agree to provide BUCO with accurate and current information and to maintain and update such information when necessary.
The information collected by BUCO may be used to send you information about products, services, and special offers of the various companies in The Building Company group that may be of interest or value to you.
The information may also be processed by BUCO and other companies in The Building Company group, any of their operators, agents and sub-contractors (who may be outside South Africa) on the condition that they will keep such information confidential.
You acknowledge that any information supplied to BUCO in terms of these Terms and Conditions is provided voluntarily.
By submitting any information to BUCO in any form, you further acknowledge that such conduct constitutes an unconditional, specific and voluntary consent to the processing of such information by BUCO under any applicable law in the manner contemplated above, which consent shall, in the absence of any written objection received from you, be indefinite and/or for the period otherwise required in terms of any applicable law.
Unless you have consented, BUCO will not sell, exchange, transfer, rent or otherwise make available any personal information about you (such as name, address, email address, telephone or fax number) to other parties and you indemnify BUCO from any unintentional disclosures of such information to unauthorized persons.
Should you believe that BUCO has used your personal information contrary to applicable law, you shall first resolve any concerns with BUCO. If you are not satisfied with such a process, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator.
You can choose to be excluded from direct marketing by notifying BUCO in writing or by registering a block on any registry which BUCO is bound by law to recognise. BUCO will not charge you a fee to update this request on its systems. BUCO will give effect to any changes requested by you as soon as reasonably possible.
